Last Post Here

horray, I've moved to;
NOKTAHHITAM.COM

I will NOT delete any entry from this blog, it will serve as a SEO tool for me.

My attempt at NoktahHitam.com is completely different than what I write in here. Ive grown and become mature (hopefully!), wise (yeah-right?) and phasing out emo (thank goodness!).

Come on people, lets move out from blogger.com =bugger.com

EEEPC, PC Fair is Coming

yeah, it'll be held at KLCC starting 7th. i want this SHIT! its called, eee pc.

i hate crowded places, pasar malam and cinemas are no exception. but this time, im really looking forward get the retarded eeepc. i guess you'll see me beating an old lady to get one of this.

price? its RM1,300. it has USB, wifi, webcam, speaker, full keyboard, 7" screen and 0.92kg. its a no brainer deal. its a VERY basic computer.

im now weighing my options, mobile or eeepc. get both? i can almost imagine, pulling out this thing for a slide presentation, blogging while tailgating an evo7 or lie to tokwan, that this is actually an alarm clock.

Eddie for PM?

some mails are just fun to read. this one is no different. so im posting it here, well, part of it.

"I like your view on the current government issues and how you'd tackle the problem. I think if you venture into politics you'd be great. Its NOT A SURPRISE if you have the PM's chair one day."
-i'd take that as an insult.

there's a lot of talented people out there but im not shy to admit that i am one of them (haha). there's obviously someone better. i know my koleq friends wouldnt trust me. that alone is enough to convinced im not suited for the role.

im open, liberal and direct. i dont want to be the next mustapha kamal attarturk

Cyber Monday Blues

i havent gotten a good rest since Saturday to Monday. Im just being me, a cyber vampire.

how do you like waking up to monday?
how do you like facing unread emails that came over the weekend?
how do you like to beat the traffic?

today, life is easy. no traffic. no hassle. no new email. then i realized its school holiday! no wonder kids are everywhere. my younger brother woke up and challenged me to a winning-eleven match. seconds later, i found my PS2 toggle stick broken. kids these days dont really appreciate the luxury they had.

what am i mumbling about? its a cyber monday. commute time baby. oh yeah, this is test post.

thanks ;)

Why Did You Quit Your Daily Job?

i went back kampung to attend a family wedding. it was tok su's daugther getting married. at the peek of the wedding, i found myself sitting in the corner with Tok Wan.

TokWan : awat hang berhenti gheja?
eddie : sy nak pikir tentang mase depan saya.
TokWan : hang nak pikir apa? pak hang suruh hang jd engineer, hang jadi je la. kalau petani sekali pon, jadi lah jugak.
eddie : mcm mane kalau saye tanak jd engineer?
TokWan : yg hang bodo pi belajaq sampai kt 'london' tu buat apa? hang ni, nak kata bodo, pandai la jugak.
eddie : sebab pandaila kite pikir.
TokWan : hang patut jadi petani.
eddie : awat?
TokWan : supaya hang tak pandai jawab.

TokWan, you are one funny guy.

Rihanna - I hate That I Love You

how come im turned on listening to this song?

ugh.. so pathetic.

Mari Gelapkan Duit Kerajaan

On recent note, i have found myself wandering around Govs site. the design was ugh-so-stooopid. every page i went, i had to download pdf or doc file.

back to the story, i was looking for grants. my partner in crime was comel, yeah my cat. i looked for approved grant and found out most of them are not profitable or simply stupid. some even scrapped the idea. (to the successful ones, congrats). so what happened to money invested to the unsuccessful project? buat beli merc ke bang? is this considered part of the national economic circle? well, let me apply for one, see what i can do with the money.

perhaps, i shouldn't. what do you think comel? *miau2*

PayPerPost?.. anyone?

did you noticed how 'boom' blog is in Malaysia? my reasons are

  • we have no idea how to express our rights as Malaysian Citizen
  • we fear of ISA
  • get paid for blogging
  • or, he/she's just an ass.

you know people like mohdsuhaimy, x5mom, mohdismail etc, these people really do earn a lot from blogging. So I studied their mechanism of money making. (actually this was done years ago, just thought you might want to know)

  • Google Adsense – it’s a no brainer. Anyone can copy and paste the script.
  • TextAdslinks – similar to Google Adsense, but worthless! The requirement is very high e.g. your Google PR must be 5 and above.
  • Nuffnang – young at heart (and age) these guys try to serve ads for local flavors. Aint that easy you know.
  • Advertlets – Malaysia’s first ads serving for blog. But still, I don’t see anything good for bloggers. Also Nuffnang’s biggest barrier.

Sponsored Post

  • PayPerPost – while making myself feel stupid, I get paid! LoL. I registered for an account because I wanted to test the system and “feel” the workflow. Also, like a cat, curious ;)

Sadly, blogosphere is frustrating by the day. new users sign up, writing about crap (just like me) and some for profiteering. The ones I follow are politics, gadgets and web technology.

Why You Should Register and Vote

Politicians = Monkeys?

The election is coming. I deeply believe that BN will win again. No doubt. Why? We are giving them a second chance to redeem their worthiness. Should we? Everybody deserves a second chance.

Nazri remarks are stupid as ever. he does not portray a leader at all. who are you to be calling others "Bodoh"? Did you benchmarked yourself to signify who is Bodoh and who is not?

KJ aka Khairy Jamaluddin is a samurai waving his katana everywhere. a great samurai anticipates the opponents next move and will only withdraw his katana when necessary. also, who are you to be calling others "Beruk". It seems you have condemned Gods creation. Mengucaplah sebelum terlambat.

Anwar, peeling governments dirty little secrets layer by layer. please cut diagonally, so we can see the core.

Pak Lah, orang kampung ku. Mengapakah encik ini takda depth?

Eddie, mengapakah kau suka kutuk org? Tak sedar diri unemployed. mungkinkah di masa lapang anda mencari salah dan silap semua org.. dan juga diri sendiri? mungkin juga.

Anyway, the points

  • you are a malaysian citizen
  • your rights as a citizen
  • you care about your future
  • you care about your paid tax
  • you worry about your country
  • 1 vote can be a tie breaker (unlikely)
  • better vote than sorry.
Lets not forget about the last Ijok Story, a 9 year old boy is eligible to vote. (no way i made this up)

BMW or Mercedes?

its been a while, since someone asked me this question.

adibah : which would you prefer? BMW or Mercedes?
eddie : AUDI
adibah : eh.. tak aci la you ni. sekali lagi i bg you jawab
eddie : AUDI
adibah : you paham ke tak paham?
eddie : oh ni soalan objective ek? ok la kalau mcm tu, i pilih AUDI.
adibah : ugh...x nak lah kawan.
eddie : sejak bile kite kawan pon?

and the conversation goes on. Engineer buys Audi, businessman buys Merc, apek sayur buys BMW. get the joke? no? neither do i.

The Customary

every year, on my birthday, i will look back and muhasabah, what have i achieved? what do i have?

nothing.
nothing significant.
nothing to prove my worthiness.

somehow, i dont give a damn!

  • i have great friends to feed my ego
  • my family is supporting what im doing (indirectly)
  • glad, God granted my "time-out" session
  • grateful, that im still breathing and thinking.
to everyone who wished me, may God bless you with a worry-free life. amin.

to that special someone, thanks for giving me a live bullet for my birthday. i just wish i had a gun to shoot you. haha. the present is awesomely emo.

Modesty is the Best Policy

it was my birthday celebration yesterday night. my family left me for a jakarta holiday. so im all alone. i wanted to celebrate with my close friends, but then again, they have daily jobs to keep (ohh..how thoughtful). so i went out with my best bud to bangsar.

initially i wanted to dance until my leg give up, sadly we're too exhausted. so we decided to drive around the town. with the bimmer, i PIMPed the road. girls in jazz, gen2, wira, kancil etc.. looked as if saying, "oh.. i want to be in that car!"

conclusion
with a hole in a pocket, you can get "KFC chicken wings" by saying hi, as long as you drive a BMW 7 series. what a shallow world.

*KFC chicken wings = chicks = hot/slutty/sexy/ girls

ps: happy bday to me, happy bday to me, happy bday to hazlan, happy bday to me.
pss: 24, what have i achieved? nothing significant.
psss: we met kristen dunst at suzy corner. for you my dear, i will become a spiderman anyday (crawling around your body, hahaha)

Facebook Make Web Developers Look Cheap

i dont really like to talk about the 'ever great' facebook. but people everywhere is screaming for them. why?
  • utilization of AJAX - dude, its 2002 technology. prada site is better.
  • social networking - great application, but failed to attract my attention. put it this way, would you rather share your interest over the net or a mamak stall?
  • for the 'geeks' - let me ask you, can you get laid over the net? hardly!
the thing about the title, Mshit sponsored $400mil for application development, 2% of facebook total value. so how much is facebook? $20BILLION!! why? remember you keyed in your birthday, location, occupation, school, interest etc, so THEY CAN TARGET BUYERS with specific information. that being said, anything is possible.

not only they make me look cheap, but your salary (RM 1.8k to 6k) look like free chili sauce/kethup at McD (maybe salt).

cool fact? nah, just another infestation.

and so Skali.net Lagi

It will train you and give you a job in the Managed Portal Services (MPS) project, which involves the maintainance and upgrading of the 102 state government and 471 federal government websites.

Skali announced that it was awarded the six-year project, which is worth RM258mil, on Wednesday and has openings for 4,000 graduates in its training programme.

well, i was bummed to see Skali.net get the whole government sector. so lets do some math!

Per month Per department maintenance = 258mil /(102 + 471)(6*12) = RM 6253!

lets see what i can do with a RM6253,
  • buy new IBM laptop or Apple Tablet
  • umrah trip
  • fly to london and bring 2 of my 'ehem2' friends
  • pay 3 staffs salary
  • hire hannah tan or stephanie chia for 2 hours
  • register 100 enterprises at SSM
  • 10 x Gen2 Monthly installment
  • buy 62,530 bottles of asam taik hidung, war stock.
Graduates per site = 4,000/(102+471) = 6.9 person. being the 0.9, kesian, kene cincang.
Hence, RM6253/6.9=RM 906 = graduates salary.

Questions:
  1. is 4,000 graduates too much? how bout their workstations?
  2. RM906 for salary is enough? then forget about astro, car etc.. naik honda cup je.
  3. RM 6253 per month is a lot. I only charge 10k at most, that being one time, training and support for a year.
  4. will the government site still be hackable? or you still have to download PDF and Docs to browse their page?
  5. dont you think this is stupid?
i thought so too. spread the disease...

Controversial Email?

Dear Edwin,

Kindly remove the recent post on your blog. You are not eligible to argue about overseas student like us. You dont know the distances/sacrifices we have gone through. Are you a local student?

Just because youre from MCKK, doesnt mean you can judge us based on observations.

Regards,
xXxXx
--------------------------------------------------------------------
oh boy. like i said in my reply, i will do the follow up here. its open ;)

yeah, a guy emailed me. too good to be true? i thought so too.

firstly, im not kind so i will NOT remove nor retract what i have said. we're democrats, freedom of speech is important.

tak eligible? you kidding me? like other normal malays, english is my second language. when i was in standard 2, my family migrated to US for 2 years. how does a non english speaker adapt to such enviroment, when the only words that can come out from my mouth was "teacher, can i go to the toilet?" (later corrected by the teacher, its, MAY i go to the BATHROOM). americans, they have their way. and yeah, i was both, local and overseas student. i hate it there, so i came back.

sacrifice? like how? cooking is hard? the wind is too cold for a kampung boy like you? they give out condom when you jump off the bus? page3 girl? drunk housemate? nude beach in barcelona? learning in English? oh dude.. so lame.

MCKK? how does everyone parading MC-Gay-Gay sound? a reality pinch? besides why do you have to bring up my school, are you inferior by any chance? are we an eye sore or did we sidelined you? MCKK was hell, you know nuts, so dont unzip your pants and put your cock on the table. i will not stroke it for you (nor any guys out there).

please prove me wrong (intelligent remarks je ok) if you can. pedas? yeah, thats how i like my sambal belacan to be.

The 'Thing' About Overseas Students

Im writing NOT to accuse or offend any overseas student. If you happen to be one, you may not like it. disclaimer: may not apply to everyone. general observation. discussed and agreed among friends.

I was blog-hopping the other day, came across this site, overseas Malay on one of the Adsense banner. So I went there, had a peak, a question struck, "why do you study abroad if you miss your own race?"

Actually not just a question, but many. Also presumptions, judgment, comments etc.

why study abroad if you..

1 - want to find your own race ?
is it a universal law? sent to a foreign place, does it echo "that youre still a kampung boy and miss speaking malay?" Oh come on. make friends, participate in GLOBALISATION and learn about other races and people. your connection with them might come in handy someday. if you really need to be with your race, forget about studying abroad. be the kampung boy you always were.

2 - dont want to miss hari raya?
classic. im sure you can find tonnes of student out there, missing the ketupat, lemang, family, friends, foes, cat, dog, kurap, belacan or whatever. but the fact that you are "seeking" for sympathy is pathetic. dont want to miss it? just fly back for a week. dont give stupid excuse like no money.

i went to school in full malay on hari raya. everyone looked at me. i have people asking me, what am i wearing? and most importantly, i seek forgiveness from my classmates. they were stunned, and asked WTF am i doing? i explained everything to each and everyone. most find it fascinating and certainly would like to witness the culture first hand. in other words, it can contribute to tourism industry.

3 - come back and complain about your small pay slip?
tied to the contract, you again seek sympathy for your "cleverness". whats the ratio? 1 year study : 3 years service? its a business. they invested in you, of course they want something in return and thats your BRAIN. if you want a big fat check, drop out from school, be the next Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, facebook developer, youtube founder, write stupid ebooks or find a sugar-mommy/daddy.

4 - dont bother learning their accent (and culture)?
i asked some grads, did you pick up the british accent? they replied, why would i? duh! because its COOL. it shows you were EDUCATING yourself out there and not just being educated. your next excuse would probably be "learning accent is hard, probably too demanding. also has to go with the mannerism." yeah crap. some kid here learned it from mp3.

5 - come back and think youre superior than us?
damn. just because you have the brain, doesnt mean you have the balls. after all, a degree is just a piece of paper. the probable things that distinguish you is your writing (and speaking) skills, the rest is nothing. another point which i hate to include but i must, the God element. "God only cares about your Iman". so wtf bro?

6 - come back for holiday with the invisible mode ON?
ive seen them do it. came back without notice and a text message,"sorry cant meet you, will be leaving tomorrow". so for the whole summer where were you? with your 'superior' friends?

we dont intend to chase you like a celebrity (or will ever treat you like one), we just want to hear about your experience, life and maybe spare some time for teh tarik. after all, we are the "katak bawah tempurung". did you forget that we were at KLIA when you left for your first year?

7 - try to run from your sponsor.
stupid selfish arrogant bastard. is it money that clouded your vision? is it the small pay slip? third rate mentality? somebody was generous enough to give you a good education, a good allowance so you can buy your ipod/O2 PDA/Laptop, flight tickets and a job! this is how you repay your nation? it was never about the money, its about the TIME invested in you. we need you to enlighten us. oh hang on, lemme check, perhaps we dont need another stupid selfish arrogant bastard.

8 - come back and bitch about your country?
yeah german have that, uk have this, us have everything, aussie have white asses on the beach.. so what does malaysia have? gadis kampung bertudung beromen atas motor on youtube? jalan raya penuh mat rempit? stupid 3rd rate mindset? yeah2, same old story repeated many times over here. we dont need you to relay the message over and over again. we want change too, so help us!

in conclusion, overseas student = messenger boy, get a degree and come back.

so who am i to talk cock? im just an unemployed observer.

you feel like slapping me with a big trout? leave a comment.

Goo Goo Dolls - Before It's Too Late

did you catch transformer? well, i watched 4 times at the cinema and has been my bed time movie for the past 3 weeks.

one of the song is from goo goo dolls. linkin park is too obvious, you cant miss it.

anyway it was played in the dialog below,

bumblebee : anymore questions you wanna ask?
sam witwicky : i think he wants us to get in the car.
mikaela : and go where?
sam witwicky : 50 years from now, when youre looking back at your life, dont want to able to say you had the guts to get in the car.

mikaela and sam got into the car. a few secs later mikaela pisses bumblebee off. he later transformed into the latest camaro. (too bad they only make left handy)

not good enough for a pickup line. my suggestion would be..

mikaela : and go where?
eddie : you can either walk home or get a cab.

now, thats not very gentlemen. eddiemoron!

Happy Halloween Ben

Not exactly halloween, late by a night.

i had a friend named benjamin. i couldnt speak english very well, he was my tour guide, my best-est friend. we'd share lunch packs (i ate his sandwiches, which i didnt know it was actually ham), had playground fights, play some scrabbles and his dog, annie.

life was easy those days.

i think of ben every halloween (seriously im not gay). we were lazy to knock on neighbors' door for candies, so we robbed kids off the streets. literally robbed. we hid behind a large gloomy oak/pine tree and whenever a group of kids passed by, we came out running and screaming,"run! that tree eat kids!!".

the kids ran, crying for their mommy. as for ben and me, we got tonnes of candies, left behind by the poor kids. ben likes licorice, i like herseys' kisses and m&ms. so the trade was simple. we kept what we liked, the rest, we left it on the streets for stray dog or who ever.

ben, here's a toast for you! happy halloween you jackass.

Raye Part 3

continual of the previous post,

i came back to the living room with a handful of bahulus. while gobbling and stuffing everything in my mouth, tok wan stood up and repositioned himself next to me. whispering tone, he asked,

tokwan : hang makan sume ni, tak takut gemok ka?
me : tak. bulan pose dh ilang dekat 6kg. raye 1 + 2 dah naik balik 4 kg.
tokwan : tu dia.. ni tanya kat hang. unemployed tu gheja lagu mana?
me : unemployed tu keje duduk rumah, bukak computer pastu masuk internet. kalau2 bosan tu, tolong mak lipat baju la.
tokwan : punya la sempoi hang gheja. boss hang tak marah?
me : mana ade boss. kami la boss. (kami is referred as 'i' up north)
tokwan : tak sangka ada gak cucu tokwan yg berjaya no. tokwan bangga abeslah kt hang.

tokwan is now convinced that "unemployed" is a king like position in a company. i left the room. a few minutes later, i heard..

"celaka hang ewin! kalau la lutut aku tak ketaq, dah lama aku takik hang dgn mertun!!!" (takik = knock, mertun = hammer)

i guess my parents explained to him what "unemployed" is.

thats to payback for forcing me to drink 'kopi' when i was 5. selamat hari raya tokwan ;)

p/s: tokwan used to force me many things when i was a kid, like, paint his house, build reban ayam, chase his chickens, eat cows' testicle, climb rambutan tree etc. is the score even? i dont think so..

Raya Funny Tunes 2

this is a follow up on the last post.

i went to the kitchen, to get some grubs and overheard tok wans' conversation with my pharmacist aunt,

tok wan : buat apa hang hantaq anak hang blajaq jd doctor?
aunt : depa nak blajaq lagu tu, nak buat lagu mana..
tok wan : hang tgk mcm ewin (thats my nickname) tu, gheja unemployed, gaji lebih 6 ribu...
aunt : ??? ... pak wan, unemployed tu tade keje..
tok wan : hang jgn nak sekolahkan aku plak. unemployed tu lg tinggi dari manager. nama gheja die tu pon dah mat salleh abes..
aunt nodded, agreeing. she cant say much.

org tue kate, dengar ckp org tue, dorg lg byk makan garam.

its amazing how "keras kepale" our elders can be. perhaps i have set my foot wrongly in the first place. from now on, he'll think 'unemployed' is a post higher than managers.

p/s: next post will be the correction..

Raya Funny Story

There was my tok sedare who came to visit my grandma.

i sat next to my grandma. he asked, "hang ni buat apa la ni? dulu engineer.."

i think itll be hard to explain i build website for living. so i replied "unemployed je".

he said," ohh unemployed. gaji dalam 6 ribu ada?"

i clinched my tummy, tears filled my eyes, i was about to burst in laughter but i remained calm and answered, "ade kot. kadang2 lebih".

org tue2 cakap, kalau tak tahu, tanye. sorry tok wan, youre just too funny.

About a Girl

There's a beautiful girl,
who'd called in the middle of the night asking me to marry her.

There's a classy girl,
who'd call me and bitch about everything, daily.

There's a fan girl,
who'd email/call me asking what's my next project.

There's a liberal girl,
who'd invite me to some drinking party.

There's a government girl,
who'd tell me, i should run a political campaign and promote peace.

There's also an 18 year old designer girl,
who drew me in tux and telling me this is how i should dress up everyday.

The last, sexy chinese girl,
wants to go out on a date.

sorry girls, i just dont have feelings for any of you. im neither gay nor by. im just not in the mood.

The medic girls,
I called them thousands of time, non are interested.. HahHaha

Learning To Drive, Advance..

my big family are grease monkeys. cousins, siblings, unlces, as long as they have balls, they're into cars.

my eldest bro bought a 1989 Saga Knight Auto in 2002, passed to my younger bro and now my dads' pet. the car is probably priced at 5k or less. nonetheless he puts more than 10k modifying that piece of crap. new leather seats, suspension system, engine rebore, overhaul and many more.

i wouldnt say its a comfy ride (it feels like horse riding actually). knocking sound everywhere. but improved driving experience id say. the sound is sweet, klang-klang-klang like american muscle cars.

the Saga isnt for newbies. right foot on accelerator and left on brake, thats how you positioned your feet. when idle, you have to press lightly on the accelerator, so it wont stall. the idle RPM is at 300.

i have driven a testarossa, mid engine evo, rx7s, ford escort 84, R34 skyline and impreza s7, non require me to use both feet to drive, on normal road. which is good, i can finally mimic F1 driver :D

The Most Expensive Taxi Ride

98 Million was the exact figure to send our 'astronaut' outer space. what is it for?

10-15 years ago, we said mahathir was crazy for his idea on the tallest building, f1 and putrajaya. now, its a landmark. in those days, i was in my own world. i do not know how to think.

but 98million?? for what? benchmarking names? commercially, what will we achieve? globally, everyone knows malaysia. so what did we expect.

i guess pak lah forgot, "membazir itu amalan syaitan". we could use that money to develop rural areas. im sadden by the fact that i am a msian, whats worst.. a malay. even worst, my leaders are idiots.

malaysia boleh... BLAH!

do not let politicians blind you. fucking morons!

some interesting blog..

Saman Polis

mom, they're restless thinking that their son will be put to jail if he fails to pay all the compound issued. thats my mom..

i have 12 traffic compounds. lets do some math. minimum is RM150, max is RM300.
4 x RM 300 = RM1,200
8 x RM 150 = RM1,200
thats RM2,400 in total!

these offenses include maniac driving, speeding, parking fines, faulty 3rd light and my personal favorite, driving without license. btw, i was never caught doing 180kmh. funny.. only silly ones i couldn't escape.

i paid my visit to Balai Polis Traffic Ampang. the officers were really nice! that was the biggest surprise. he asked,"are you sure you want to pay all this?". "of course!", i replied, can i even argue? i brought cash (mom funded 1k). RM 1120 please, he asked. what?? i got an instant discount? i happily paid for my silly mistakes ;)

thank you officer hamdan. next time, i treat you karaoke (with or without chicken)! hahaha

www.Kahwin2u.net - Goes Web2.0

Part of my undying passion for web is Web2.0. What's cool about it, is that webmaster do less work, users work more. in the old days, it's the other way around. (programmers work more!)

anyway, somewhere mid of ramadhan, kahwin2u was hacked. i couldn't trace who did this, but i'm pretty sure it affected the whole server. i couldn't recover anything. it looked like scramble eggs thrown to the wall. *splat*

nothing really motivates me more than making a come back. so for the last 2-3 weeks or so (during raya), i started coding. i wanted it to be user oriented. the best way was to copy digg.com and stumbleupon.com. the coding alone took roughly 17 days and the design under 1 day. packed with AJAX and PHP, i think i can proudly say that this is my best work so far (in terms of coding).

so interesting comment:
  1. the website dont look like a wedding site - agree. i have balls. i do not have feminine taste.
  2. can i pay to be in your directory? - err.. im already giving you for free, just link you articles in the website. you still want to pay?
  3. i wish to advertise, so how? - it was released less than a day. no proven result that it'll be successful. later2 i'll call back.
  4. copy cat! - ok. so if someone has a blogspot, then a friend followed his footpath, is that copy cat too?
  5. can you sell me the whole idea including domain and intellectual property? - errr... i did not documented anything. everything is in my head. maybe in a year or two, ill sell.
  6. how come aaa i have to register? - because i dont want spammers on my site la dumb ass.
  7. got inbox, can link to gmail or yahoomail? - NO. thats your Private Message box.
  8. what is digg, del.icio.us and stumbleupon? - press CTRL+L, type google.com!

p/s: i am a year behind the world wide web. as for general malaysians, id say about 3 to 7 years. yikes!

the Melancholy of Life

I had a drink with mache and riq, stumbled bagak and jea. chill night out.

i came back to search for my degree cert and i came across this book i wrote called, "the unspoken words". its basically a log book of 'sarr and me' s' problematic relationship. i logged every single time we fought.

3 years since i last wrote. she was right. we were never meant to be or rather i wasnt mature enough at time of our relationship. it saddens me how could i ever do the things i did to her. i was cruel, it was unbearable, it wasn't something to read as a bedtime story. i hurt her real bad.

so [ask me who is this], if you ever read this, im really sorry for what ever i did. i wish i can repay you in every sense. and i hope by keeping my distance between you and me would serve as my punishment.

when i look back, was it just an obsession or true love? i think its the latter. being so fuckingly hurt for the past few years, i yearn to believe, this is what they call karma. [ask me who is this], thanks for everything. enjoy your life. amin.

ps: i can write longer, but i think i have enough of back thread. its time to thrust my life forward. go eddie go.

Getting Ideas

How do you get ideas?
  • scratch your head
  • bite the end of your pen or pencil
  • spin pencil or pen
  • get high on cigarettes or drugs
  • nicotine from coffee
  • hot drinks to warm up?
  • run or jog
  • pray
for me, nose picking works. of course with tissues, so i dont mess my keyboard (does not affect mouse, i only use my left hand). thats why i was so determined to prove that nose-picking does not void fasting.

Tribute to Karam Singh Walia

count to 6, karam will raise his hand. another 6, another raise. when i see him on air, i would raise and follow his gester. my family would laugh when i do so.

karam is an environment journalist for tv3. somethings you dont know about him.

  • 10 years ago, his main transport is a motorcyle
  • was secondary school teacher
  • graduated from UPM and University of London
  • produces malaysian hockey starS - maninderjit, abdul rahman, shaiful and madzlee.
  • he chases anyone who threw rubbish out of their car.
  • he has a book with 4,300 malaysian peribahasa and carries it around
  • the only journalist who use peribahasa (i think so)
  • was offered RM150k (and a house) for an under-table deal but walked away
thats all my findings. karam, id take a bullet for you anytime. salute!

Are We Racist?

Following on my recent visit to Balajoe's Blog, i was inspired to write this true story.

It was 2003, i was in the uk pursuing my degree in engineering. my flatmates were malaysian-chinese, a china-chinese and an arab. we had lots of fun back then. i was known as a party animal, literally. we cooked, watch horrow movies, studied, laughed basically we did everything humanly possible with our student life. although it sounds lively, deep down, i missed my gf(now ex) more than anything else. i like to be alone and always cry myself to sleep (damn stupid!)

one comment that really struck me, "Apesal ko tak hang out dgn kiteorg (a malay bunch)?". i was irritated but i still manage to smile and walked away, leaving the question mark on their forehead. i know when you're abroad, you tend to stick to your group to not feel indifferent. but for me, i want to learn more about others, i have a 'cramped' of knowledge about my race.

so why did i ditch my race?
  • jonathan lim - when grandpa passed away, he was the one to comfort me. the manly pillow talk too. hahaha.
  • david lee - i didnt have a room for a month, he let me sleep in his room.
  • chee siang - when i skip class (or prayer) so much, he would "berleter" just like my mom.
  • ah kit (china) - when im depressed, he'd try to comfort me eventhough he doesn't really know what he's saying (in english)
  • ahmad (arab)- taking me to parties whenever he sees me stressed.
  • huaiyang - would always try to occupy me by playing C&C generals, NFS Underground.
  • heng ngee & daniel - mad about football & guitar, would do anything to get me to join.
  • suet ling - for being a good listener.

i came back home and completed 3rd year here. with a bachelors degree in my hand, i look back, what have i done for them?

thank you guys. you were awesome.

Coffee Anyone?

to this day, i never knew coffee really well. i only like double espresso (not available in Malaysia [i think?]) and caffe mocha. this chart pretty much sums it up.

malaysiankini.tv

im not so interested in politics, but when our corruption index went up, i think i should look into it.

all day yesterday i went thru malaysiakini.tv. build on ajax tech, i like. the speed and everything feels so right. if you have no time to read, i suggest you go over have a few bumps. you'll love it.

this one particular video i like, about dr.m commenting on kj. "if you would like to see another pm like myself pushed gov to bankruptcy, then you should vote for kj" - dr.m. said something like that.

we cant be ignorant all the time. after all, our tok nenek fought hard to win back msia, so should we.

non-bumi wants to revoke NEP, i say we retract vernacular school. sounds fair? i thought so too.

facebook + myspace + friendster + youtube

yes. it seems rather bloated. but i feel its something we malaysians dont have (or not doing well)

target audience - college students n professionals
objective - to connect everyone from the same school, uni, fac or company
idea - just another social community
problems - youtube is very slow in malaysia. myspace has lots of fake people. friendster isnt that exciting. facebook not so popular in malaysia.
marketing strategy - make handouts leaflet and pass around all the IPT in malaysia.

then? i dont have a good name. can you help me find a good domain name?

i was thinking of
alumni.my - too professional
babila - sounds like a haram site

deym kusut.

Too Far Gone

Please speak slowly
My heart is learning
Teach me heartache
Stop this burning now
this is a great song by all american rejects. you can google it.

fasting is tiring (yeah even though i dont go to work anymore). last weekend i had my chance at beriyani batu pahat. 5 helpings ok. sure did conflict with my diet. they're the best =) yum.

i have forwarded a few proposal this week, surprisingly all malays. what i hate most about my race is, they would take my proposal and ask someone to quote them according to what ive drawn out. thats sick! of course you can get lower price that way. i put my heart and head into it. i expect them to at least ditch the proposal if they disagree. how do i know this? because the guy who got the job, asked for my help in some coding. no hard feelings, we all are raking everything we got nowadays. oh boy i wish i could 'luku' this 'bunch' of people. sungguh unethical.

Losing Weight 10kg Naturally

lets stick to my norm about noktahhitam, its all ABOUT ME.

i have a friend who weighs over 100kg but now he's down to 70 plus kg. losing 30% in about 6 months, naturally. how is that possible? eating right and working out. continue reading..

Eating Right

  • no carb means NO CARB. carbohydrate comes in many flavors, bread, rice, noodles, spaghetti etc. just avoid all of them. yes, ALL. i know for malays its hard to resist the tender substance of rice. yumm~
  • start with protein. these will be chickens, beef and fish. dont over do! eating a whole grill chicken is equivalent to 2 serving of rice. so be moderate.
  • diet means you dont have to starve to lose weight. instead of eating 3 meals a day, split into 5. this will increase your metabolism hence burn more fat, even when youre walking.
  • get more from veggies. the bitter taste doesnt really go well with everything. but you'll learn to like it.
  • no oil, no cholesterol, no SUGAR. its a drastic change, im still not accustomed to it.
  • cooking - grill, steam & raw. boiling and frying is meaningless.
remember, eat to live not live to eat.

Working Out
  • no time to work out? same here. its just an excuse everybody makes.
  • high & quick reps, light weight dumbbells - for the fat and obese
  • low & slow reps, heavy weight dumbbells - fairly important when toning muscles
  • run. start off with 1km per day, increase 500m weekly, you dont want to shock your body. in 3 months time, you'll be able to run 10km like nothing. i guarantee.
FAQs of Eating Right and Working Out
  1. any side effects from avoiding carb? yes. you will hurt your kidney. meat causes your kidney to work harder. but who said this diet plan is for a lifetime?
  2. how long will i see effect? 3 months minimum.
  3. will i grow muscle? men yes, female no. female dont produce testosterone as much as guys. sometimes your 'bat wings' grow bigger because your muscle is pushing your fat out. in 3 months, it will reduce.
  4. how much will i lose? depending on the diet. if you are strict and on daily basis, you can lose upto 20%.
  5. why do i yawn when i work out? your fat is burning and its telling your body, 'this is not right, please stop'. since fat is unwanted, go to hell with whatever it says.
  6. i cant afford to eat western everyday! dont lose weight then. do it when you have enough cash to sustain your lifestyle.
  7. is this something you created yourself? sadly no. its a compilation of methods, the "eating right method"credit goes to mache.
  8. how sure are you about this? i tried and lost 10kgs in 2 months.
  9. are you a qualified dietitian? nope. but i did learn biology ;p
  10. why do you want to lose weight? i want to run faster.
thats about it ;)

i need new wardrobes! im down to 30-31 inch from 35 inch.

Whats the Fuzz About Gua.com.my?

"gua caya sama lu!" thats the tag line. corny but i like it. this is a flame post. go away if you think im being silly.

i heard gua.com.my over the radio, so i told myself, "hey, why not i give it a lookie". the first thing i did when i got to my lappie, i keyed in "gua.com.my"...

wah la~ and error POOPed out. oh ok, maybe they are still fixing it. i corrected my url and hit enter. the correct url is http://www.gua.com.my
Hey Marion ~(would you like to travel to panama with me?) as much as they would like to target teens (or teen-like-adults), this is simply too much. look at it! its hideous, preposterous! have they ever thought that its sooo late 90's design? this is just like the layout korn had in 99. babe, move to web2.0 ala facebook style please. again i give an ample space to improve..
so i clicked over to AMBER CHIA. yummy~ (no way a 24 year old male can resist her). while waiting for page to load i grabbed cookies and milk, it was super slow! upon my return, i faced this error. goodness, i am a web developer, im updated with all these latest tools and gadgets but THIS? ohoo.. maybe i just dont have a flash player (!), i might as well get a dvd player while im at it.
and the final part, a bit technical though, but this is definitely not the way to code. its neither SEO nor SEF, search engine cannot find you. it's open for threat, hacking is so much easier if everything is displayed. it should be like this (below), looking like a dumb .html, but actually .php extension. to any developer, this is the first thing to look into before anything else.

nontheless, you have my utmost respect for being able to air and market on the media network, as expected of media primas' sub. also respect for the up coming shamefulness you will receive.

why am i pissed?well, maybe because i DIDNT get the job! anyway, its a good exercise before i start my webhate.com project (showcasing all the mistakes and bad designs of malaysian web!) ouch, thats gotta hurt.

My Miss Conception of Ramadhan

dudes, stop smsing about fasting. it comes every year.

ramadhan is a sad month. why?

  1. you spend more than you should, thus contributing waste.
  2. Allah wants you to fast, but you spent time french kissing in the car
  3. you should be slimmer, but you grew round-er
  4. you should go to mosque, but always excuse yourself because of work.
  5. you think more about what color will you wear for eid instead of reciting Qu'ran
  6. this is the time to cleanse your soul, but always think about naughty stuff
  7. and always thinking about your break fast meal
for the past few years, i cried while doing my terawih (sometimes, but often enough to noticed). the guy next to me must be thinking, what's with this kid? i cried because,
  1. i wanted to be a better person but i didn't do anything about it.
  2. ramadhan is gonna pass in 30 days, somehow 30 days is not enough.
  3. my prayers were unheard, i must have been a bad muslim.
  4. i bitch about unfairness and inequality but i failed to see the suffering of others.
  5. and finally, i feel distant to God
i want to do my best this time. i think you should to. Selamat Menjalankan Ibadah di Bulan Puasa.

Quran Recitation Online

now i have no excuse to NOT recite the Quran. its feature at tazqirah.com. "mens in shorts giving tazqirah", as how izrin would put it.

i always wanted to have a Quran online. looks like my dream came true. amin. lets just hope someone will benefit it ;)

on other note, i have put up "fadilat solat terawih" on mckk9600.com. i have been searching this since high school, literally. its serves as a daily reminder as it will change every single day according to the day/night.

while others are struggling for passive income, im looking for passive pahala (what do you call it in english?) ;)

My Boring Time

My Top 10 boring to do list. Not in order though.

1 - nose-picking, hygienic reasons ok.
2 - kick my fat cat. (his name is comel) yes, very cute and adorable but also very lazy.
3 - start an LED + circuit project and decided to ditch after figuring out 'its too easy la bro'.
4 - wash my hands every 5 mins (i always think i have my nose crap on my fingers)
5 - crack a software. this may sound.. WOW, a cracker! but i only do basic algorithm. im not a guy from Die Hard 4.0 or sword fish
6 - nulled a script. most scripts you purchase online has this feature of anti hack or so. it takes hours but once you know to get around, you'd go 'man, this should only take 3 mins!'
7 - chase the cat next door. since my cat is cute and lazy, i chase other cats. theyre not good looking but very enthusiastic.
8 - iron my work shirt even though my official office attire is a singlet and shorts
9 - lay and roll allover the bed and screaming as if im being sodomized.
10 - wrestle my younger bro until he cries or says ,'yes, you are my master.'

masripan.com

im thinking of buying my own domain. i remembered last time, i bought lamanku.com. i wanted to save for my bigger project. now i cant buy it anymore. some bugger from US parked the domain... siol.

i plan to write about my thoughts on latest issues and share some tips & tricks about computing and web.

well, its just a thought.

Rugby World Cup 2007

All Blacks for life. koleq rugby team (back in my days) was called all blacks. because we were the only team to wear full blacks in any tournament. imagine running around 2-3pm, hell was brought up to earth! i survived, did my part of the bargain and shared the disappointments. we were victorious. we went to every finals, every single tournie. 7s, 10s, 15s. now, its my pleasure to be able to boast around.. muahahaha.

anyway, world cup is around. 1 disappointing fact. we (my family) unsubscribed astro. tv is called the idiot box (plus the lame shows etc). now im getting desperate. i surfed around to look for malaysian tv schedule in case they aired on national tv. its depressing. i couldnt google it. there was very limited resources. i had to browse every single channel's website to look for the game. this is stupid.

so i went to IRC website. they charge to see the highlights... WTF? there was even a boycott by reuters on the coverage. idiots. rugby coverage shouldnt be commercialized. sponsors and advertisers should take this responsibility. i love rugby but i wont pay. bluntly bongok.

Bad News Come in Many Ways

my trip to umrah is officially off. nonetheless, i have booked another one right after eid mubarak.

with my pile load of work, im swimming with my own codes. boy i wish i could clone myself (but that would double the laziness)

Im Now Taking Order

This may sound cocky, but to whom that wishes to send prayers (while im in umrah), please leave in this comment box. If shy or anything, drop me a mail at edwinmasripan[at]gmail.com.

My prayers goes out to all the living creature who knows me (vice-versa),
"may You bless everything good to these people. and if You decide to place burdens upon their shoulders, lighten it by placing on me. Bless them with kindness, as they have been really kind to me. Bring them happiness as they have brought happiness to me. Worry them not, as they have worried so much for me. Forgive them for every sin theyve committed. Shower them with light on the path to righteousness. and if You decide not to grant any of my personal prayers, then please grant this one. Amin"

really cocky, but thats what i feel. thank you for being my friends. only God knows how much i value each and everyone of you.

AJAX Application

Disclaimer: If you dont want to know whats hot from the web oven, feel free to skip this post.

You've probably heard about AJAX or WEB 2.0. They are the one behind myspace, digg, prada, friendster etc and many more. Ajax is not a programming language but actually is. Its a combination of both. Its like HTML. Many argue that its a programming language, to me, it never will be. It's too easy.

What it does?
AJAX plans to work like your desktop application. The part where its fast, clickable and draggable etc. thats not 'it'. its actually more than that. a normal website requires you to click around, wait for the page to load and wahla.. another never ending page. Ajax works to bring you the data before clicking it. Whilst the speed of internet is getting faster, Ajax plans to use the bandwidth lesser. it uses less resource compared to java applet, faster than flash and most importantly, CROSS OVER PLATFORM. so it doesnt matter what IE or firefox you use, it'll work.

How does it help your life?
Ever complain about not enough time? Ajax is the answer. faster than anything else. it simplifies everything. each application is design to give you ease of use. forget about user-friendly, its what i call, childs-play.

The future
Ajax is the future of web. its fantastic. you look at it, you go WOW. Lord of Motherf***** or something like that (at least i would). if you know nuts about html, you better start learning now, at least a piece or two. seriously you need to. (im ashamed to say, im better at reading raw html than the Qoran)

My Plan
I have been thinking about it 2-3 years ago. but somehow these past few months caught me. my workload is like crazy, i have meetings everywhere, my money is short, client havent issued payment, junior asking for job, mom & dad sending me to umrah, adek wants to wrestler with me before bed.. its madness. i came across my black notebook with white cows on it, i realized i have noted so many great ideas from the past (when i was pretty much sane). one of it was, a friendster and myspace clone. there was one point where, "you have to pass this message around if dont want your friendster account to close".. you know, that kinda crap. their earning are from ADVERTISEMENT get it you numb nuts.

XXXXX dot whatever..
just like my many other site like kahwin2u, tazqirah, mckk9600, they are just my flagship to challenge myself and test my-self-developed marketing techniques. all 3 website are doing very well, average hit a month about 3000 unique users altogether. thats a lot.

Next Project
I dont have a name for this project (feel free to suggest the name), but ive already started working on it. Features include MP3 DOWNLOADS, RINGTONES,VIDEO STREAM, BLOG and PHOTOBLOG also FOOD RECIPE! (somehow im gasping for breath when caps). its not cool actually. i copied the ideas of others. kawanla.com? gilelah.com? alamak.com? haimeh.com? no good idea. i was hoping for someone to give some wicked meaningless name like nike, zookuda, meebo but reflects malaysia. oklah. till then.

The Great Escape

"Throw it away, forget yesterday, we'll make a great escape..."
i heard this song few weeks ago on the radio. why so late? ive heard this song about a year ago. sometimes i just dont get it, great songs are suppressed by pop and hip hop beats. anyway, they're great band. its worth buying the album. fantastic emo.

i maybe flying off for umrah on 9th sep. i hope there is still a space for me. my dad is paying for it. its been ages since i left this country. i need a solace..

i think im sick. i want to get real help. but mom wont allow it. i know my level of sickness. you dont have to tell me this that this that. it hurts most when i lost family support. just accept it, im sick. i really need help. friends and family can only go as much as listening. i just lost hope in this world.

avril - whan youre gone

wah.. this is definitely an emo song. oh how i hate this kind of song.. urgh..

last weekend my family planned a trip to north, through pahang, kelantan, perlis, penang, and perak finally back to kl. unfortunately they left me while i was working with my client on something. they asked me to take a flight to catch up with them.. you kidding me?

family comes first. but leaving me behind (when i was about 1/2 hour late) was absurd! i rather stay at home and become a bangla-jaga-rumah, then fly to catch up with you guys.

anyway, we had a great weekend. by we i meant, izrin, fadli, iqhbal, mache and faqroul. on friday night, the usual TT (teh tarik) session at old town cafe cheras. although named as teh tarik session, we had coffee. often we texted each other, "jom mabuk". it actually means, drink and talk crap. on sat night, we went to the fireworks competition. it was spectacular. being the gay we were (and will be?), we had fun with some posed photo. the theme was 'album cover'.

then on sunday evening, we went to lade's wedding. a quote from past, "sure ko kawin dulu kan eddie?" hahaha. unfortunately, im not as lucky as you are lade. later in the evening, we had another TT at coffee bean (again no teh tarik). 4 hours plus talking about the past, present and future. marriage seems so far.. at least for four of us (mache, iqhbal, fadli n me), sigh.

congrats lade! i always knew you were the first to get married. so the 'sukantara' points continue
Ahmad - 2 (asaharawanis n mel) + 2 (for azalea) = 4
Sulaiman - 2 (skisbiha n ladina)
Mohd Shah - 1 (zack)
Idris - 1 (zaba)

yeah ahmad leading!
ps: baby count as 2, because its considered as one of many miracles.

50 Years of Merdeka and We Only Care about the FOOD

have you been listening to the radio lately? played over and over again, the true spirit of merdeka lies in our food. it saddens me, but its true. i myself planned to move to the uk, unfortunately its the food i cannot resist. for everything else, you have a mastercard. LOL.

is Malaysia really 'merdeka'?

my rants the current malaysia..

  • bad automotive industry, not just talking about proton here. include all car makers assembled in malaysia. if we have no tax on car import, these car makers would be dead by now. how much will you put a price on proton gen2? for me, 35k (but hey i bought one at 58k). buy malaysian, be patriotic! hmm.. your turn..
  • football. oh so sad. im not blaming on players nor the management, id put everything on the media. whats the fuss about EPL? according to alexa, malaysian is the 2nd highest visitor at premierleague.com. oh and please mr media, football is not malaysia's no 1 sport. EPL is.
  • politics. noted, malaysian higher powers are bringing in investors from all over the globe. its a good thing. everybody loves money but it doesnt equate to happiness and comfort. why? we are treated as second rate people!
  • the citizen. i love malaysian, so loving and caring.. yeah right! have you ever been to hartamas? people stare/glare as if you not wearing anything. how about accidents on the road? people slowdown to see whats happening but not to help. please la people, if you want to see something disgusting, google-lah. accidents are not freakshows. our mindset is wrong.. its just soo wrong. im not civilized myself, im wrong too.
  • petroleum country. but how come you keep increasing? arent we supposed to be subsidized like heaven? so these profit where does it go to? someone like us (professionals) may not be affected greatly. think about the outskirts or hulu2 people, do you think they can afford fuel like we do? sad..
  • traffic. kl traffic is bad. i dont drive anymore with 3 reasons on hand, petrol, parking and girls. its about RM5 from keramat to klcc and you actually have to beat an old lady with a stick to get a parking space, which cost RM7 for the day. i take LRT. i have to literally shove myself into the train in the morning. why cant you add more trains? too costly is it? have you thought about global warming? so which would you chose, money or malaysia? you dont need to answer that, its already written all over your face.
  • pollution. according to times, we can help to reduce global warming by planting more trees on the equator. but i see day after day pembalakan haram on the news. someone's pocket is definitely full. think about berkat..
  • malaysia with islamic rules. why does it seems like everyone is against it? here's why.. islam mengharamkan RIBA. you can fill in the details.
How we can improve Malaysia?
  • its not about the cover, its the content. we as the citizen must think like we're equals. be it indian chinese or malay. maybe its too much to ask, but if we could start to instill this ideal into our kids, Malaysia would be a better place
  • abolish sek jenis kebangsaan india/chinese. a very hard case, seems very unlikely because it has to do with HERITAGE. well yeah.. but have it taught in every school. dont you think its wonderful to see everyone speaks and reads all these 3 languages?
  • forget about english. speak malay. take for example germans, french and japanese. they are advance in their technology because the skipped the part where they had to translate. so you skipped the 'buffer' zone. was it a bad idea to teach kids math and science in english? i dont know, maybe a teacher can explain that. personally, it only confuses kids.
  • abolish tolls in outskirt areas. introduce tolls in big cities. increase road tax. intensify our transporting system. sounds stupid, but its actually good. my point, save mother nature! save malaysia for kids. only the rich gets to drive. or drive whenever necessary. more people will move outskirt. reduces traffic. byk lagi laa.. you think plak.
  • go back into agriculture, make it as no1 export industry. its green. save nature. food is more demanding than other industries. we need to eat more than we need a gadget.
i guess what im asking is a little too much. its just my bottled up thoughts. you can arrest under ISA, i dont care. but be sure to publish my face on the frontpage. God is fair. you can do anything to me, i will only pray that God will have mercy on your soul. ;)

Why 3G is Not Important, But Also Important

we've been stressed out by our local telco. cheap lah this plan. ours only 15 cent. this telco cheat people. i mean wtf? marketing is not about brushing people off your shoulder. heck i know, i can sell RM1 per minute and still get subscribers. why? thats for business students to answer, im just making that one up ;)

anyway, there's this thing called 3G, is it good? how so? well.. let me just.. on the fly.

Important

  • for org pekak/bisu to communicate via video call
  • for business or anyone to stay connected (internet)
  • for freakshow - so that we could position ourselves on the globe (tell me about it..)
  • tu je kot?
Not Important
  • introduces cost to telcos, which in return we pay for the service and hardware by slow falling of telco services rates.
  • introduces cost to MCMC, we paid tax right.. so thats where our money went.
  • we have EDGE. people say edge its slower, wrong! although EDGE has lower bandwidth compared to 3G, its still outperforms 3G anyday.
  • yehaa we have 3G too. crap.. fix the goddamn tmnet first!
  • Go WiMax. often foreigners come to malaysia with lappies, and not 3G phones. they need connectivity for WiMax not 3G, dumbass. germans only use nokia3310! they only need to call and sms, for other things, they use a laptop!
Fact
  • klang valley has 3G, my house has too, but my room, NO.
  • penang has 3G, but the line connects and disconnects so often that i gave up using 3G
  • digi will not be approved to use 3G, thats why they are bombarding the nation with their cheaper plans. (correct me if im wrong)
  • 3G contributes to global warming. heat from 3G servers. video calls = shorter battery life = frequent charging = electricity = more charcoal burning. LOL
  • 3G contributes immoral acts. horny people phone-sex using 3G other than webcams.
  • 3G infrastructure is very slloooooooooooooooow. how long did it take to penetrate kelantan? 2 years? although known to be packed mase raye, still sluggish?
  • RM10million is needed per 3G tower (more or less). who gets the profit? spread out evenly? the company even declared loss at the end of the year.. gile ke ape?
ok la. mase utk bace samurai X ;)

New Phone Under RM2K

mache and fadli (also iqhbal) are seriously looking forward to get PDA phone. i myself am not sure about the hype. so i did some googling, lowyating, mypdacafeing, gsmarenaing and cnetasiaing. it came down to 3 hours, and i have yet to find my best bet. so i decided to draw a little mindmap (in case i get lost and overlooked at some details).

the contender was pretty easy at first, but as i dwell into the inner secrets and technical review as well as user's ive come up with the following conclusion. things to look forward to, below 2K, WIFI, MSOffice Editing, Browsing, Qwerty interface or touch pad.

1. Sony Ericsson - P990i: they say it is the best. it cost about RM1k++ has wifi, 3G, browser and many more. it looks rugged and means business but it has memory drainage problem. 64MB for RAM is old fashioned. can only view MSoffice.

2. SonyEricsson - P1: now the brother wants to kick ass but too bad, has the same leaky memory problem although shipped with 128MB RAM. it may work well in a few months time, after that, it gets complicated. its shipped with bugs from the predecessor. can only VIEW MSoffice. Priced at RM1.8K

3. Nokia - e61: I've been on and off nokia since the 3310, but i always go back SE as my solace. the good: qwerty keyboard, wifi, big screen, very stable, highly recommended. the bad: no touchy screen =( almost impossible to drive and type sms. a tag of RM1.6k

4. Dopod - 818Pro: very old fashioned hardware. its 3 years since its launch, so dont expect dopod to do something about the battery. everything can, except no 3G. looks girly though RM1.6k

5. Dopod - M700: the slimmest design. everything in except for 3G connectivity. users allover asia are very well satisfied with this phone. RM1.6k

6. Nokia - 9300i: the meanest contender for today, a communicator. does everything, but no 3G and touchy screen. its humongous. wont fit in your back pocket. and when you're talking on the phone, it looks like youre holding your shoe next to your face. nevertheless, highly rated for on-the-go peeps. RM1.2k

Winner
ah.. this is the sad part. as much as i would like to defy the significance of a bmw and a merc, id go for audi anyday. same as today, id go back to SEk750 anyday. why? you can accidentally throw out of the window when making u turns (it still works like charm), never hangs, leave at shop and buy a new one (its cheap), excellent photo, reliable buddy and best of all, its sturdy. good for the likes of me, throwing everything at the wall when in vain.

The Bet
if i dont have a clear decision, i wont recommend anything to my friends. so guys, looks like we're in for a long wait. or.. lets just use the money to fly to thai?

tm sucks

countless times, i have been patient with tm. i dont think i can tahan anymore.

disconnected since 31st july. ive contacted streamyx, it wasnt their fault. no payment due or anything. i called tm. no payment due or anything. so wtf? after series of troubleshooting using a dsl tester, there was no signal for dsl connection. so i called both streamyx and tm to check my connection. it took them 2 days to identify (why so slow la?) that my line was accidentally terminated. yikes. im not in the mood of scolding their operators, they're trained to a certain extend. dont expect them to know everything. but what the fuck? accidentally disconnected?

so what i can conclude here is TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.TM SUCKS.

I hate J Drama!!

but i still watch them.

Proposal Daisakusen was the first J-drama i watched in years. seriously, i dont like it. but i finished the episode in 1 night. thanks to boy, who brought back his entire collection of J-drama (2007), i am now constantly staying up to watch these episode. what about my work? tertangguh la.

All this K-drama & J-drama, they leave you with a big black hole in your heart. not to mentioned, watery eyes, sudden excitement, the stupid-funny jokes and girls! urghh.. im so upset with these people behind melodrama.

i hate it, but i like it. i like it but i hate it.. which will it be?

When I Grow Up, I Want To Be an Architect

but instead, i became and engineer.

i was 6 when i told dad i wanted to become an architect. it was rather silly, all the kids at the playground wanted to be an army, firefighter and police. i firmly believe they wanted the 'action' more than the job itself. i was a laughing stock but i couldnt careless. i had boy to play around with. we climbed any tree we see, chased every dog in the neighborhood and disassemble-reassemble our bikes (missing screws and nuts are common, we had spares).

today, i am an architect, a web architect. i spent most of my undergrad days to study internet programming than doing my engineering coursework. and its slowly paying off. my only regret was not to start this sooner. i enjoy what im doing from day to day. work is pilling like crap. but i love it!

boy is coming back on saturday from german. i hope he brings me a truck load of ritter & belgian chocs~ yum. it'd be fun to have him around for a month or two. God only knows, how much i missed my younger bros ;)

ps: to aboon, wey, apesal ko tak reply sms aku? aku tanye ko bile ko take off, ko tak reply. aku igtkn ko fly on 14th july. darn it. nak mintak maaf, aku rase mcm aku tak bersalah kt sini. ko laa salah, tak on mobile ko. ciss..

a Glimpse from the Past

Mar84, i was about 6 months old. kecik2 dh punk rock.

masripan bck121. any senior officers at exxonmobil would remember my dad as bck121 red alfa romeo. very classic car. i could still remember,'abah, lompatlah!'. dad speeds up and jumped the hilly road. 'buat lagi!'. 'ok', dad replied. now you know why i drive like anjing laut.

trip to singapore. on cable car. i wanted an ice cream but mom decided not to buy 1 for me, hence the facial expression.

who's the naughty boy? "jgn conteng dinding!", mom told me. but didnt mention about the floor. i scribbled on the floor, tracing the joint tile on the marble floor. there was of course a picture of a house, stickman family, flower and the sun. would you tie your son or spank them?

selamat hari raye. sorry ma. im an ass (still am..?)

this picture was taken during a hockey tournament in ipoh, 1997. we reached the quarter finals. i enjoyed hockey but i decided no to stay with the team and moved on to rugby and athletic. i was never good at hockey anyway.

behold stick 'khayalan'. it was the florescent orange wrapped around the stick that eluded the goalie. we won 9-0 against our junior (we were f2). i scored 7.

this was taken by hideo minamizawa(?). 100m dash U-15, district level. sprinting is easy. concentrate on releasing your full energy then away you go. you just have to go through proper training and jogging is definitely not part of it. its been ages since i dashed 100m. to this day, running remains as my utmost passion. i wish i have the time to run.
